Norah Ruth Amstutz emigrated from Ukraine with her family, at the age of three. She grew up in Goshen, IN and studied Studio Art and English at Goshen College. She worked as a studio assistant for potter Mark Goertzen from 2015-2022. She was featured as an emerging artist by Ceramics Monthly in 2024. She completed her MFA in ceramics at the University of Notre Dame in 2025. Norah makes functional and one of a kind narrative work at her home studio in South Bend, IN. She hosts a stop on the Michiana Pottery Tour and serves on the board of the Northern Indiana Clay Alliance.
