Adam Allen, photographer

Adam Allen is a photographer who is proudly biracial, tracing the Mexican side of his family back 300 years in the Central Valley of California. Adam uses his photography to explore his faith and emotions, and to connect with other creative people from all walks of life.

In 2025, he used his photography to spread information about his friend, Ayman Soliman, an Imam arrested by ICE, by creating a social media series called “political pizza,” which featured people holding pizza boxes with political statements and information about Imam Soliman.

Adam was raised in the Evangelical Charismatic tradition and worked as a prison guard for 8 years at a maximum security prison. During that time, he experienced a crisis of faith that led him to Mennonite Community Church Fresno. He states that he “converted to the Mennonite Faith in 2014.” After two years of engaging with his Mennonite community and matriculating at Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary, he resigned as a prison guard.

Adam currently lives in Fresno, CA with his wife and son and works as a chaplain at a local children’s hospital.
